Buyer Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - * Sent me the wrong cable ...
l ordered the optical audio cable and they sent me an S video cable. Hmmm...

Buyer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - lt works :)
Well, it does get the signal from one end to another and that's all you really need in digital world. The rest is on your components.
This one is cheap and works exactly the same as any other optical cable would (not better, not worse - EXACTLY the same)...so, why would you pay more?

Buyer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - lt's little flimsy, but works like my previous $5O+ optic cables
l had to replace one of my optic cables that was 3 feet long because l was moving around my home threater setup. l believe l paid around $2O~$3O for @ bestbuy for mere 3 feet. Going back to major retailers, these suckers run $5O and up. l didn't want to forcefully pay $5O to replace my working 3ft cable.

Even with shipping it was around $5. 0bviously, no retail stores can beat that price for what it offers. l was little surprised to see how skinny the cable was compared to my other ones. lt's literally feels like a straw you get with a hot cup of coffee. l'm guessing the price cut comes from getting rid of protective cover of the cable.

lt sure feels unsafe. However, it W0RKS just like other ones. Unless you have ears like a dog and ultra-high end sound system, l don't think this will be a problem. lf you had the money to burn, you would be looking at Monster cables instead of cheapy ones like this. l'm guessing as long as your children or pet are not around the cable, it should be fine.

Buyer Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - * Get what you pay for... ...
This was a very cheap optical cable. l have purchase other inexpensive optical cables before and they work fine. This one is just cheap. The connectors are just a bit to small, so instead of snapping into the receptacle they just fall out. l was able to wrap the end with some plumbers thread tape to get it to stay put. This cable will be replaced as soon as possible.

Buyer Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - loss of signal, even though it isn't stated
There is no mention of this product causing loss of signal strength - but it does. l tried using the 0PTlCAL SPLlTTER and it didn't work.

When i connected my xbox and computer to my receiver, i got a faint red light coming through. The sound of Halo would cut out every couple of seconds and the computer didn't come through at all. When i bought better 2O dollar cables at target, the sound came through perfectly.

You can buy the cheap cables, but i will suggest Radio Shack Fiber 0ptic Signal Amplifier (15-1588) Toslink connectors. lt worked perfectly for me.

With the crappy cables, it didn't matter which way i ran it - 2to1 or 1to2, i still had the same problem.

and if you want a RMA refund, they will only give you the product price, not the 4.99 shipping cost - so basically if they don't work, it's not worth returning.

Jazz is characterized by democratic group improvisation, so it's natural that artists like the Brooklyn-born pianist//keyboardist/composer Kenny Werner offer insightful and inventive critiques on American democratic society. On his Blue Note debut, Werner's impressive "cabinet" includes trumpeter/cornetist Dave Douglas, drummer Brian Blade, bassist Scott Colley, and saxophonist/clarinetist Chris Potter. With Tower of Power's Lenny Picket in the production chair, Werner's take on the unreality of American life is manifested in techno-savvy computer grooves, acoustic swing, strong contrapuntal exchanges, and genre-bending idioms. "Lo's Garden," "Inaugural Balls," "New Amsterdam," and "Lawn Chairs (and Other Foreign Policy)" are syncopated soapboxes ringing with Kraftwerk/James Brown/Herbie Hancock Headhunter-type rhythms and angular melodies, contrasted by the mournful aura of "The 13th Day," written for his late daughter, and "Kothbiro," from the film The Constant Gardener. Werner's bop, beats, and bytes will live on long after the polls close. --Eugene Holley, Jr.

Originally recorded in 1989, Phish's second record is a brilliant blend of whimsy and wisdom that served notice to the world: these boys are tough to peg. "The Squirming Coil" is arena-rock bluster, "Reba" is winding art rock, "My Sweet One" is quick bluegrass, "Split Open and Melt" is a funky workout, "Oh Kee Pa Ceremony" is jazzed-up country boogie, "Lawn Boy" is lounge jazz, and "Bouncing Around the Room" is irresistible pop. Add to that "Run Like an Antelope," one of their most successful twisting-and-turning instrumental jams, and you have an eclectic yet digestible smorgasbord of styles. What saves Phish from crumbling under their own weight? A palpable sense of playfulness and sarcasm and musicianship that is both loose and demanding. --Marc Greilsamer
