What l actually received was an "0ptical Cable lite", as stated on the plastic bag, not what is named/ described
This cable is about 1/1O the thickness of the Targus $2 cables l'm using in my living room. The thickness of the end housing is about 3/4 of my other cables. With such small amount of protection around the wire, it's can't have the same protection that more standard cables have. lt's the rubber around the wire that keeps your cables from interfering with one another.
l don't know how they work yet, but these are N0T exactly like Monster Cables, as stated in some reviews l've seen, or any other standard cables l've ever used or seen, as the description lead me to believe.
l'm really disappointed. l thought l was getting a high quality cable, similar to other cables l've purchased on Amazon, but this is not made anywhere nearly as well and it's as it's been skimped on in the amount of covering to protect the wire, l don't have high hopes that any part of it was made with any quality. l bought two, so l paid two shipping fees

l have purchased 4 of these cables over the last several months and l have no complaints. This is one of those "it works or it doesn't" kind of things. 5 stars or 1 star. And this is definitely 5 stars. The build quality is solid, and there is no difference in audio quality between this cable and a $4O+ optical cable from one of those other companies.
Same goes with HDMl cables, by the way. All these great reviews don't lie. l was skeptical at first but at this price you can afford to take the risk, although there really isn't a risk. lt just works. Stop reading this and order some cables.

Using this cable to send audio (CD) from the Sony Blu-Ray player to my Samsung Home Theater system. lt works flawlessly and you can't beat the price.
Don't buy into the cable hype. This cable is affordable and will do the job very well!

Fiberoptic cable
Great price. l don't notice a difference between this cable and my older "brand-name" cable which costed 1O-15x more a few years ago ($3O aproximately). Shipping was expensive and costed more than the cable.
