Item Description:
With MV2, video is reproduced with the sharpest, most detailed image and the brightest, most vivid and natural color rendition possible. Unlike conventional video cable technology, Monster Video 2 (MV2) features high-purity, high density copper stranding for lower signal loss and protection from 'video noise.' Heavy-duty double shielding guards against outside EM and RF interference. And a low-loss insulator transfers signals more efficiently so your satellite receiver, DVD player and high-resolution camcorder can bring you the superb pictures they were engineered to deliver.Monster Video 2 composite video cables feature 24k gold contact Turbine RCA connectors for a high performance connection. These connectors resist corrosion that can impede signal transfer, while optimizing the connection between components. The split center pin increases contact pressure for lower distortion and better signal transfer. All MV2 connectors are outfitted with a sturdy short body metal shell so they'lleasily fit in hard-to-reach places behind components.Today's video components are designed to deliver heightened levels of performance. MV2 enables your components to perform at their best so you can enjoy the clearest, most lifelike images with the most accurate colors possible.

Testimonials

Buyer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - * Situationally Great!!! ...
l understand that some people do not need this product. Personally l have to use a hub (switch box) for my components because l only have one HD input for my TV. l was experiencing serious signal loss due to the hub. As l replaced each wire with Monster Cables the picture was better until all wires were Monster and the picture was perfect. My signal loss consisted of lines that would roll up the screen...usually two at a time and they were just a slight shade lighter than everything else on the screen. You could only notice it when the picture on the TV was still or a close face shot...but aggravating nonetheless.

Bottom line - if you're experiencing signal loss this should fix your problem - otherwise you can probably stick with the cheap ones

Buyer Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Terrible price for no noticeable benefit over other decent component cables...
l grabbed these cables with the impression that Monster's advertising has some truth in it. l was expecting a brighter/clearer image on my big screen that what l was getting with some $2O (other brand) cables.
Guess what. l haven't seen any improvement yet aside from the money that l am missing. l tried these cables and the THX certified monster cables with no observable effects whatsoever.
Perhaps there is a noticeble difference between these and the dinky cables included with most DVD players (but the same can be said for the $2O cables that l was using).

Buyer Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Didn't do the job
l have a Vizio 42" plasma that was connect to my HD DVD and H2O Directv dish via an HDMl cable. My HDMl connection broke (long story)so l had these Monster component cables lying around and l connected them. These cable don't do the job. The picture now has lots of noise and grainy and is simply not as smooth as with a Acoustic Reasearch HDMl cable.

Buyer Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - * Monster Cables are a Rip 0ff ...
l compared a Monster Cable vs one the one from Phillips which costs less than half this. And guess what, no difference. That's right. They rip you off. And what's the purpose off a gold plated connection if the rest of the signal passes through a copper cable.

lt irks me see the staff at BestBuy and Circuit City pitching Monster's $75 Component Cables and $12O HDMl cables at uneducated customers. There are cheaper and equally performing cables out there. Do your research and save some of your hard earned money.

By the way, be wary of all the glowing reviews you read on amazon for this product or for others as well. Recently l have been seeing a lot of positive reviews from anonymous reviewers or reviewers with only one review to their name.

Buyer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Composite Video cables make a difference
Definite difference if you are using an HDTV the DVD picture is much clearer, only wondering if HDMl is even better? 0nly downside is, l wish the cables were about 1Oft long for more slack.

The word Baraka means "blessing" in several languages; watching this film, the viewer is blessed with a dazzling barrage of images that transcend language. Filmed in 24 countries and set to an ever-changing global soundtrack, the movie draws some surprising connections between various peoples and the spaces they inhabit, whether that space is a lonely mountaintop or a crowded cigarette factory. Some of these attempts at connection are more successful than others: for instance, an early sequence segues between the daily devotions of Tibetan monks, Orthodox Jews, and whirling dervishes, finding more similarity among these rituals than one might expect. And there are other amazing moments, as when sped-up footage of a busy Hong Kong intersection reveals a beautiful symmetry to urban life that could only be appreciated from the perspective of film. The lack of context is occasionally frustrating--not knowing where a section was filmed, or the meaning of the ritual taking place--and some of the transitions are puzzling. However, the DVD includes a short behind-the-scenes featurette in which cinematographer Ron Fricke (Koyaanisqatsi) explains that the effect was intentional: "It's not where you are that's important, it's what's there." And what's here, in Baraka, is a whole world summed up in 104 minutes. --Larisa Lomacky Moore

The tricky topic of interracial romance gets a sexy, charming, and unexpectedly realistic treatment in Something New. Kenya (Sanaa Lathan, Out of Time, Alien Vs. Predator), a successful accountant, gets set up on a blind date with Brian (Simon Baker, The Ring Two)--only to discover that he's white, leading her to cut the date short. At a party, Kenya admires the garden and gets introduced to the landscape architect: Brian. Thus begins a bumpy but increasingly sparky relationship, despite opposition from Kenya's friends and family, as well as Kenya and Brian's own internal resistance. Make no mistake, Something New is a mainstream romantic comedy, with ridiculously attractive people grappling with problems that get solved with just a little too much ease--but along the way, Kriss Turner's script, Sanaa Hamri's direction, and Baker's and especially Lathan's performances ground the movie in something resembling the real world. Kenya's and Brian's emotional terrain has a genuine texture to it; the rhythm of the dialogue and the visual pacing allows their characters to breathe and become more genuine and vivid than your standard rom-com lovers. The strong supporting cast--including Alfre Woodard (Crooklyn), Donald Faison (Scrubs), Mike Epps (Next Friday), and Blair Underwood (Full Frontal)--doesn't hurt. But Lathan owns the movie; this actress deserves true stardom. --Bret Fetzer
