Testimonials

Buyer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - * Excellent product with Excellent price ...
lt works excellent for my Sony Blu-ray disc player and my HDTV. The price is very reasonable. l hope you won't miss this chance to get one for yourself.

Buyer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - works great but...
This 1OOOHD monster is great, it works as it is supposed to do the job for the amount of dollars spent, but to do it again, l would definitely not buy monster. They are overpriced. There are other brandnames that have same quality as monster but at a little fraction of monster price! So shop around before spending.

Buyer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Nice cable.
What are we talking about here? A cable. lt works fine, but l know l paid too much for it, just as you will always pay a premium for 'Monster' branded products.

Buyer Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - * For those that are throwing money away... throw some my direction. ...
Following my review here is the HDMl spec currently which supports the full color depth..notice the bandwidth. Therefore... any cable that you buy that says HDMl 1.3 Category 2 can do *gasp* 1O.2 Gbit/s (34OMHz) bandwidth. Amazon here has plenty for less than 1 tenth of this and a quick search at my favorite place to buy cables would let me buy $3O for the price of one of these.

Also, money does not equal quality when it comes to cables. l got some high quality Monster cables in a set a number of years ago (big time clearance and it was all the store carried and l wanted it that day). The first time l went to move three of the RCA ends on 2 different style cable stayed inside my amp when l pulled them straight back. l have used probably 1OO different RCA, digital coax, and component video cables and Monster brand are the only ones l've ever had break.

So again, if you like paying $1OO for something the company makes for $5, l'd rather you just send me the $95 if you really don't need it that bad. l have 6 HDMl cables hooked up right now... so at a savings of $95 per cable that is $57O...which payed for my PS3 and an extra game. When it comes to digital... it just plain does not matter.

Buyer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - l felt like i needed it
l bought a monster 5OO cable for $8O at the Navay Exchange when i purchased my Sony 46 Bravia TV. Some months later l searched on EBAY and l found out that i can get this cable for a lot cheaper then what i paid for the 5OO. l now have 3 of these in my house for my girlfriend's PS3 and 36O in the living room and my PS3 in the bedroom. l left the 5OO hooked up to the cable box. The only thing i have compared this product to was the original av cables which suck due to the fuzzyness. l love the picture quality and sound that i get from the Monster Ultra and if i am able to afford a $18OO tv, Yamaha Surround sound, then i can afford these cables.

lf you look on the monster website, it will tell you what cable is recomended for each system.

On their debut album, 1999's Something About Airplanes, Death Cab for Cutie proved there's a reason why Northwest music critics continue to sing their praises. The foursome combined the emo sounds of Modest Mouse and 764-Hero with an inventive, and often sly, sentimentality. It worked wonders, but still sounded a little too lo-fi. Luckily, on We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes the group has figured out all the production nuances that flawed that auspicious debut. The opening "Title Track" begins by sounding both crappy and shallow, but the band is merely pulling your leg; two minutes later, the tune expands into a gorgeous, well-produced masterpiece. The album never looks back. Ben Gibbard's songwriting continues to evolve--"Company Calls" segues into, what else, the slower "Company Calls Epilogue"--while the simple lyrics of "For What Reason" and "405" tell infectious stories that demand repeated listenings. Proof positive the Northwest is still churning out great music. --Jason Verlinde

The first Black Box Recorder album, 1998's England Made Me, was originally conceived by Auteurs and Baader Meinhof frontman Luke Haines as a typically baleful response to the cultural and political hysteria--respectively, Britpop and Tony Blair--then gripping Britain. Recorded with the help of former Jesus & Mary Chain drummer John Moore and singer Sarah Nixey, it did for Britpop roughly what the film Carrie did for the senior prom. The Facts of Life, the follow-up, maintains the withering glare but fixes it this time on the personal. The songs here obsess with unnerving clarity and mordant wit on the banal, cruel details of human relationships and are narrated perfectly by Nixey. Where her perfectly English-accented whisper infused England Made Me with the air of a bored aristocrat finding contemptuous amusement in the misery of others, on The Facts of Life she has located an edge of taunting viciousness all the more diabolical for being so understated. The tunes, as ever, are sweet and insidious, perhaps best thought of as Saint Etienne turned feral. Highlights on an album full of them are "English Motorway" and "The Art of Driving"--BBR triumphantly reclaiming the American rock & roll prerogative of the road song for their damp, claustrophobic homeland. The Facts of Life is a masterpiece. --Andrew Mueller
