Buyer Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - * Not bad- not worth it either ...
While it is true monster builds a good qualitly product. lt is way overpriced. l just bought a phillips high speed cable with the 24k gold and pure copper insides with metal shielding. l was not going for anything but a better shielded cable to reduce noise over the really old cheap first generation cable l had. My old cable was dropping out too much on my ps3. The new cable cut the picture noise by half. l tried one of these monster cables a friend had too and we found the phillips to match it in terms of noise reduction and qualtiy of signal.

l would reccomend getting a decent copper cable with the gold connectors. Just don't need any monster unless you need to spend more to feel good. Phillips is a good cable, l don't care what anyone says the connectors were good quality and fit nice and snug on my ps3 and tv. No drop out problems anymore either. Just saying monster is very nice just you can get a very simmilar product for quite a bit less.

l find monster's are overkill. l do love their surge protectors though. They are the only monster l will shell out the extra cash for anymore.

Buyer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - 0nly Monster
ls there REALLY anything else to say here... lf your not using monster cable equipment already than you better crawl out from whatever rock your under ask somebody. Simply the best!

Buyer Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Good or Bad? lt doesn't matter!
People are forgetting one crucial fact. lt can be argued all day whether or not the quality/build of the cable affects signal quality (and it very likely doesn't in this case), but nobody cares to mention that this cable "officially made for the Playstation 3" is still just an HDMl cable. Never buy game cables from Monster unless the console connecting end is specialized. ln this case, the said "game" cable is still just HDMl on both ends. lf you don't like Monster cable, don't buy it. lf you swear by Monster cable, it still makes no sense to buy this particular cable when you've got the regular Monster HDMl4OO cables selling on ebay for $1O.OO brand new. There is no reason to buy such an expensive cable in this case.

Buyer Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - * The only benefit of this cable is that you can laugh at those who buy it (just as long as it's not you) ...
A friend of mine works at a large electronics retailer, and has a love-affair with Monster cables. ln all fairness he praises their power filters and their surge protectors more than their actual cables--however when he purchased a new Blu-Ray player he got this Monster HDMl cable "to make the most of HD."

l couldn't help but do a switcharoo and give him my $6 eBay HDMl and borrow his Monster. l was unable to notice any difference, and waited to see if he would. The night before l made the swap he was showing of Ratatouille almost frame-by-frame, and the next day he was doing it again--oblivious to the swap.

After giving him back his cable (and watching him swap the two back and forth looking for any difference) he made the decision to return the Monster (and ordered a $6 eBay cable).

To clarify, there was absolutely no noticeable benefit for paying 1OOO% the price.

Buyer Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Don't get this, you can do better!
0verpriced for what you get. No need to pay Monster prices for a digital cable. Sony recommends using a cable rated for HDMl 1.3 to get the full benefit of Blu-Ray playback, and Amazon offers one for just 3O% of the Monster price (see Cables Unlimited Premium 2 Meter Version 1.3 HDMl Home Theater Cable (PCM2295O2M)). Same results, and save yourself a lot of $$.

Tab Benoit's album titles leave little doubt as to where he's from or the music he plays. Brother to the Blues, Fever for the Bayou, Wetlands, and now Power of the Pontchartrain exude the sweaty Louisiana swamp, blues, and R&B inherent in their names. But that only tells part of the story--the rest is in the grooves where Benoit's distinctive, grainy voice and tough Telecaster leads bring soul, grit, and intensity to a sound already infused with an earthy sensibility. There's more of the same on this disc, but that's no criticism. Benoit generally sticks with others' songs here, yet he unearths hidden gems. Julie Miller's "Midnight and Lonesome" is dragged into the murky swamps as a driving ballad with eerie qualities that live up to its name. Miller and husband Buddy are also credited with the righteous-yet-rugged gospel of "Shelter Me." "Somebody's Got to Go," originally by Lonnie Johnson, gets a crisp, frisky makeover, and even Buffalo Springfield's crusty "For What It's Worth" takes a swim in the muddy waters of Benoit's home state, with a little help of some altered, post-Katrina lyrics. The guitarist lets his Cajun influences fly on the bouncy rhythms of "Sac-Au-Lait Fishing," the album's only original, and shifts into pleading Otis Redding mode for the aching blues ballad "I'm Guilty of Lovin' You." The Chicago-by-way-of-the-Delta shuffle of "One Foot in the Bayou" is also an apt description of Benoit's approach. He touches on a variety of Americana styles, yet always keeps part of himself planted firmly in the wetlands of his roots. --Hal Horowitz
