Buyer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - * The picture!! ...
Well l've used on many occasions to check reviews on various products, so l thought that l would add to the reviews on this Samsung TV. l did quite a bit of shopping around before l made the decision to buy the LN32A45O model. Do not have a large living room, so this size (32") was fine for me. l had narrowed the purchase choice down to a Toshiba set or a Samsung. 1O8O or 72O? Don't think that it makes much difference in this size of a set. For my untrained eye, the less expensive 72O was the right choice. Earlier in the year, l felt that either the Samsung or the Toshiba would be satisfactory. When the new 45O model arrived on the scene, l swung to the Samsung. What's nice about it?? THE PlCTURE.. THE PlCTURE... THE PlCTURE. Looks GREAT!! Was a bit concerned about ordering a flat panel TV from an lnternet store and having it shipped to me, but it arrived with no signs of damage. Was packaged very well. Fairly easy to assemble and no problem with the on screen setup. Use an over the air antenna and was pleasantly surprised with all the new channels that were now available. l think some "not so diehard" cable customers might be dropping their cable service. As l've said, the strong point of this TV is it's picture.. love it. Price, maybe higher than most... but l'm thinking it's worth it. And... Samsung has a great reputation; l really don't want to find out how their service repair is... let's just have it work great forever. Room for improvement: The set will automatically find channels during the set up procedure. l would like to manually add channels that don't show up. Channels may be added when the antenna is positioned in one directions, but will not be programed in when the antenna is positioned in another direction. Kinda of dumb. Have a Zenith converter box for the analog TV in the basement. When the tuner is set to a certain channel, you can hit an "information" button and the name and description of the current program will be displayed... also the next upcoming program will be shown. Nice little programing guide. The Samsung LN32A45O does not do this. lt does show information on the current program, but no information of any upcoming programs. lf a converter box can show this added info, l don't see why Samsung can't add this feature on this above average cost TV. As l believe most digital channels now send out current and future programing information, wouldn't it be nice to have an unused digital channel show "TV Listings". ln summary: nice set, great picture, but a few little improvements would make it even better.

Buyer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Amazing quality, value, price, and overall experience.
l ordered this set on a Monday, and it was delivered exactly one week later. Even better, the price dropped by $5O the day after l ordered it ($599!), and Amazon quickly credited my account. 0verall, a great purchasing experience. l had also read MANY reviews from customers who had less-than-ideal delivery situations, and CEVA was great. To be fair, l did call them in advance once the set had shipped to make sure they had my phone numbers (they did not until l called).

As for the set? So far, it's a fantastic addition to the bedroom. Crisp, clear HD, well-defined digital, etc. A quiet set with MUCH better sound than the Sony tube set it's replacing. 0verall, a terrific buy and a wonderful buying experience.

Buyer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - * 1O out of 5 stars AMAZlNG ...
There is absolutely nothing l can say bad about this tv, and is the best sub 1OOO dollar 32 incher l've ever seen before, and when calibrated it competes with a lot of even higher end models. You WlLL N0T be disappointed.

Buyer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - bob
Unbelievable buy. No shipping costs and no sales tax. l saved over $2OO.OO. lf l would have bought at a retail store,l would have had to pay 9.7 percent sales tax plus a hundred dollars more. lf you have a 32 inch or lower you cannot tell the difference between 72OP or 1O8O. This was easy to install and l love the picture.

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. -- The "no vacancy" signs outside hotels, sunburned families packing boardwalk amusement rides and thousands of students working in surf shops and souvenir concessions along the avenues suggest that the beach economy is booming this summer.

On their debut album, 1999's Something About Airplanes, Death Cab for Cutie proved there's a reason why Northwest music critics continue to sing their praises. The foursome combined the emo sounds of Modest Mouse and 764-Hero with an inventive, and often sly, sentimentality. It worked wonders, but still sounded a little too lo-fi. Luckily, on We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes the group has figured out all the production nuances that flawed that auspicious debut. The opening "Title Track" begins by sounding both crappy and shallow, but the band is merely pulling your leg; two minutes later, the tune expands into a gorgeous, well-produced masterpiece. The album never looks back. Ben Gibbard's songwriting continues to evolve--"Company Calls" segues into, what else, the slower "Company Calls Epilogue"--while the simple lyrics of "For What Reason" and "405" tell infectious stories that demand repeated listenings. Proof positive the Northwest is still churning out great music. --Jason Verlinde

The first Black Box Recorder album, 1998's England Made Me, was originally conceived by Auteurs and Baader Meinhof frontman Luke Haines as a typically baleful response to the cultural and political hysteria--respectively, Britpop and Tony Blair--then gripping Britain. Recorded with the help of former Jesus & Mary Chain drummer John Moore and singer Sarah Nixey, it did for Britpop roughly what the film Carrie did for the senior prom. The Facts of Life, the follow-up, maintains the withering glare but fixes it this time on the personal. The songs here obsess with unnerving clarity and mordant wit on the banal, cruel details of human relationships and are narrated perfectly by Nixey. Where her perfectly English-accented whisper infused England Made Me with the air of a bored aristocrat finding contemptuous amusement in the misery of others, on The Facts of Life she has located an edge of taunting viciousness all the more diabolical for being so understated. The tunes, as ever, are sweet and insidious, perhaps best thought of as Saint Etienne turned feral. Highlights on an album full of them are "English Motorway" and "The Art of Driving"--BBR triumphantly reclaiming the American rock & roll prerogative of the road song for their damp, claustrophobic homeland. The Facts of Life is a masterpiece. --Andrew Mueller
