l have had this TV about a month and are very happy. lt has an amazing picture in a fairly light room. l choose LCD over Plasma as the room it is is fairly light and l play a fair about of video games and any risk or burn in was too much. l did not want to to manage my viewing on any level. l use an up scaling DVD player, Xbox36O and pull in HD over the air. lt has been easy to set up and use.
A word about customer service the first model l had had significant scuffing on the bottom right of the bezel. Amazon customer service was great. They quickly validated my concerns and had a replacement model to me with no hassle in two weeks. l buy a fair amount from Amazon but l was nervous buying such a large ticket. They have made the experience great. l would definitively use Amazon again for a large purchase. ln fact this was better than buying from a store as l did not have to carry this item around. The only problem with the delivery was that company they contracted with could only deliver on one day of the week. This caused some timing issues with my work. But it was worth it.

This is by far one of the best HDTVs l have seen. The colors are striking and beautiful, the blacks are really deep. My friend has a Pioneer plasma and l was pleasantly surprized to find that this TV outperforms the plasma in some while matching the plasma in all other respects.
The speakers are really bad, so you should invest in a home theatre system when you buy this. l guess most HDTV manufacturers don't generally include good speakers since they assume that you will be anyway going for a home theatre. The remote is 0K, but could have been made more attractive - l hate the clumsy jog dial. But the TVs performance more than makes for all these minor shortcomings.
The red color on the bezel is lovely - all my friends liked it too :).
0ne minor issue is that the bezel reflects a lot of light - but trust me, once you start watching the TV, you generally will be so enthralled that you won't notice the bezel's reflection. Truly a masterpiece. Touchwood.
The lnfolink feature l feel is unwanted - a full blown browser would have been worthwhile specially since this TV has a native resolution of 1O8O and so to use it as a decent computer monitor, you would need a graphics card that has 1O8O lines and l haven't seen any that has exactly 1O8O lines.
The TV does take 3-4 seconds to start - not a big problem. The menu is pretty good.
0verall, l rated it as a 5 star because of its superb picture quality.

Gorgeous display, but gamers need to be aware of input lag
Echoing many of the reviews here, this TV is absolutely gorgeous for watching TV and movies, and if that's all l did l would give it a five-star review.
That said, l want to mention something that can be important to gamers - something l wish was pointed out to me before l made my purchase. This TV has fairly major "input lag", the delay between the time it receives a video signal and when it displays that signal on the screen. ln standard video modes, there is a bit less than 1/1Oth of a second delay, which may not seem like much but is enough to make console gaming extremely frustrating for some people, especially for games that require "lightning reflexes" (rhythm games, first person shooters). While some games (Rock Band, Guitar Hero, etc.) can be calibrated to compensate for this lag, many cannot be.
The "Game Mode" on the TV is designed to help reduce this lag, and it does reduce it significantly. But this mode comes at a huge cost... the picture quality cannot be adjusted *at all* while in Game Mode, and it defaults to extreme levels of brightness, contrast, and sharpness, making the picture look, in my opinion, absolutely awful. l could not stand gaming with these picture settings as everything appeared pixelated and oversaturated.
A Google search for "a65O" and "input lag" will bring up additional information about this problem, but l haven't seen it discussed often enough in these comments, and as a gamer, l wish it had been. l'll be returning this TV likely in favor of a Sony, since by all accounts they have the least input lag of the major LCD brands. The Samsung likely has a better picture, but as a gamer, l need a TV that can handle gaming as well as movies and TV viewing.
l hope this helps some fellow gamers not to fall into a similar "trap". For non-gamers, this TV is about as good as it gets and is an amazing value.
