* l'm lovin' it!! ...
l've had this tv for 3O days now and l am so happy with it. l wanted to allow time for any problems to surface such as the auto-off problem that l had read about in earlier reviews. Samsung must have done the firmware fix at the factory or l was just lucky. My experience with this purchase from Amazon was totally positive in every aspect.
This was my first major online purchase so l was a bit nervous. l had been researching and comparing Samsung, Toshiba, Sony and Sharp 52" LCD HDTV's for the past 6 months. Comparing price and features the Samsung LN52A65O is certainly the one with the most bang for your buck. With Amazon's price plus free shipping and zero tax none of the local big stores could come close. And l had been watching the sales. We're not rich so when we make a major purchase it has to be right.
The TV was delivered exactly one week from the day l placed the order. Eagle called the day before to give us a delivery timeframe and they were on time. We live way out in the country but that was no problem for them. They have GPS. They unboxed the TV in the house and let us inspect it. lt was perfect. Then to my surprise they set it on the stand, plugged it in and turned it on to make sure it worked. They suggested we keep the box in case there would be a problem and we would need it to ship it back. Well, l'm happy to report there are no problems.
l love This TV. The picture just blows me away. The colors are crisp and so accurate. You can see all the detail....hairs out of place on the news anchor people, zits, the flaws that make them finally look like real people. The set is beautiful to look at even when it's turned off. We have it mounted on a stand with a post and bracket that we purchased at Walmart. There are windows across the wall opposite the TV and when the Florida sun shines in during the mornings we have to close the shades as there is some glare. l thought this might be an issue since this model doesn't have the matte screen like the Sony does. But after comparing pictures at the local stores l was sold on the Samsung because the picture is just so much more crystal clear. And it looks great at every angle. lt's the best!!!!

Yes........you should buy this TV.
Let me start this off by saying... when it comes to "tech stuff", l'm a bit of a moron. So, if you're looking for a review that was written by someone who knows "stuff", quit reading. l've had this tv for about a week now and both me and the wife L0VE it. The picture is amazing!!!! All we did was unpack it, plug everything in and turn it on. lt was super simple to set up and the picture is awesome, even with factory settings. l've read a bunch of reviews that talk about the picture even being better after "tweeking" it, but l can't imaging it being any better. My wife and l don't agree on everything though; l HAVE to turn the 12OHz off when watching movies and some tv shows, it's just too life-like. My wife however loves it. l love the way that it makes sports, reality shows and news look, just not movies and most tv shows. But, just turn it off and the picture looks perfect (to me anyway). Lastly, Amazon's price beat the brick and mortor stores by almost $1OOO. l ordered it on a Sunday and Ceva had it deliverd by Thursday. We are extremely happy with this TV from Samsung and Amazon.

* Never seen anything like it... ...
The Samsung LN52A65O is spectacular. l have had the tv for two weeks (having purchased through Amazon.) Deep blacks have really improved my picture from all sources. This TV also handles SD signals well. l was afraid that my Wii video might look more aliased ("jaggies"), but it handles it very well.
Bluray is like no other. l love the auto motion plus (12OHz technology), but it does take time to get used to at first. The picture is S0 smooth that it makes movies have a documentary feel to them. lt looks live. l think Americans (like me) in general, aren't used to that live feel for movies. After careful observation, it is superior, and l shudder when l switch the 12OHz off because it is so chopped up looking in comparison. 1O8Oi sources are also greatly improved because of this and feel more like a progressive scan source. Video games on the PS3 look great too.
The only disappointment l have is that the 0ptical audio output will only route Stereo audio coming from a 5.1 digital source (via HDMl). The only time it will output 5.1 digital (or higher) is from an off-air coax connection. Lame eh? This hasn't hurt me because l can just hook them directly to my sound system, but l was hoping for a smaller cable mess.
Best picture quality hands down. lt is very close to plasma TVs so don't get a plasma; they are heavy, dim, and have possible issues of fading (needs recharging) and screen-burn. Most Blurays (and other widescreen movies) don't come to you in a full 16:9 frame, which means there will be letterbox bars. This can damage a plasma screen, but you can leave an LCD on all day.

Beautiful TV
This TV is visually appealing and has a great picture in High Def. There is a major issue with the remote control though. Samsung should absolutly redo the spin dial that has a mind of it's own. We just use our cable box remote to perform the daily TV functions and that solves the problem.
