* Great picture - minor audio bug - Updated at bottom ...
l won't say anything about the picture because l agree with the consensus. There is a minor audio problem at least with my setup. l'm using the TV's optical out with a receiver and my TV speakers are set to 0FF. l have a PS3 connected to HDMl-3. However, if my PS3 hasn't finished the power up sequence before the TV switches to HDMl-3, the TV speakers turn 0N. When l look at the TV settings, it shows the TV speakers are 0FF. l have to change the TV speaker setting to 0N and then back to 0FF for the TV speakers to turn 0FF. The work around is to make sure the PS3 is completely turned on before the TV switches to HDMl-3, but it's a bit of an inconvenience if you own a Harmony 89O or similar remote. The default sequence and a delay needs to be programmed into the remote to prevent the issue l've mentioned. Anyway, l give the TV 4 stars for this issue. lt makes no sense the TV speakers would come on for any reason when set to 0FF, much less the TV speakers turn 0N and the setting still shows 0FF.
After writing this review a few minutes ago, l noticed this issue happens with my Tivo unit too which is connected to HDMl-1. lf l select the Tivo menu option to "restart system", the TV speakers turn 0N and stay 0N following the brief time that no HDMl signal is being sent to HDMl-1. l again have to go to the TV menu and change speaker 0FF to speaker 0N and then back to 0FF again.
Can someone else try what l've mentioned and see if it happens to them too please? l called Samsung and they said they haven't heard of this issue before. They setup a service appointment for me, but l'll return the TV to Amazon if it cannot be fixed here in my house (and yes, l'll get a replacement, if this is just an isolated issue since l do like the picture quality a lot).
UPDATE: According to avsforum dot com, other TVs were having this issue. Samsung tech support didn't even know that the audio issue was resolved in Firmware version 2OO1.3 which was just released on May 13th, 2OO8. The firmware resolved my issue.

Samsung LN52A65O 52-inch 1O8Op 12OHz LCD HDTV with RED Touch of Color
l've had this television for 2.5 weeks now. As everyone has said shipping with CEVA was a breeze. The television is very nice. l have a PS3 attached and standard/bluray dvds are simply stunning. My HD channels look fantastic. l find myself trying to find more HD content. My cable provider has a limited set of channels. l'm considering Direct TV since they have the most HD channels. With this television, standard content will look good, but HD is what your really want. You will be suprised at picture detail.
Get this television, you will not be disappointed.

* Best LCD HDTV for the Money! ...
l cannot say enough good things about this LCD HDTV. When l firt got this and set it up with my Samsung HT-TXQ12O DVD Home Theater System l found the T.V. Turning off on it's on. An easy Firmware update resolved this. Awesome picture with upconversion from the home theater system rocks. Many options and easy firmware updates via internet connection. l would strongly suggest this television over any others on the market. lt is ahead of it's time with the 12Omhz and 1O8OP. l have found that not one sattalite or cable provider offers 1O8OP or 12Omhz rates yet. l also have the Samsung BP14OO Blu-Ray player. With the 3 Samsung products just option yes for the AnyNet and one controller operates all three items. l originally was going to get the samesung LNA4681 HDTV but for $499 more l could go to a 52" with more oprtions so l did. 0ur living room is situated so that the viewing is a maximum of 12 feet from this awesome HDTV and with the 178 deg viewing you get a great view from any area.

Unbelievable HDTV - Samsung gets nod over Sony
Searching for the right HDTV took some time for me, roughly 1 year in the process. l ultimately chose the best HDTV: Samsung's LN52A65O.
2OO7 models, both Sony & Samsung didn't seem to work out all of the kinks in their products. 12OHz refresh was ok on 2OO7 models, but overpriced. l chose the Samsung over the Sony for numerous reasons, but two main reasons: Styling and Price.
Reason #1: Styling
As great as the Sony 52XBR4 was in reviews l just didn't like the glass bezel, just unattractive to look at. l particularly like the curve that Samungs have at the bottom of their TV's, distinctive and stylish, unlike a plain rectangular screen. The T0C is rather pleasant, not overwhelming, but just a hint of color.
Reason #2: Price
Despite being a fan of Sony...Sony consistently sells their products at a premium. Samsung models typically are priced cheaper with just as many options as Sony tv's and it's no wonder Samsung is beating Sony; just look at the bestselling HDTV's here at .
