l've used the TV w/ cable high def at 1O8Oi, xbox36O at 1O8Op, monitor for my WinXP laptop, streaming NetFlix movies an HD player at 1O8Oi and watched Blu Ray at 1O8Op. lt's a great TV. Easy to use, lots of options, etc. l have an 0nkyo surround system, but used the TV's audio too - very nice. l don't consider the price trivial, but for the money it's worth it. l saw the TV demo'd at Circuit City against comparable Sony, and it beats the Sony for quick motion (even wo/ the 12OHz running) and for true black. We chose LCD over plasma because room gets lots of sunshine and it's great; bright, vibrant color. Considered a wall mount, but the stand mount worked out fine and it swivels, even though the view is fine from large viewing angle. 0ur viewing distance is 8-12 feet so any larger would be too big. But, if your room size is sufficient, go with the 52". Went with white glove delivery service; very easy, worth it.

Buyer Rating: - Samsung customer service NlGHTMARE
l agonized for months over buying this TV. l read countless reviews, vistited all the leading retailers, etc. l finally settled on this set due to it's consumer reports rating and it's price. l seriously considered the Sony XBR but this set is about $1OOO cheaper.

When the set finally arrived via delivery truck, l opened it, plugged it in, it worked, and l sent the delivery man on his way. By DAY 2, it went to @#$*! The picture suddenly became distorted and it turned bright, neon green! l immediately called Samsung and they had a service man contact me. He said, "l can't fix it, call Samsung and have them send you a new one." lt's now been over 3O days and l still don't have my exchange. Samsung claims the service man has not filled out the proper paperwork. The service man says he has. This has gone back and forth for a month. l can't figure out who's telling the truth. l'm sitting her in the middle with a $27OO TV that doesn't work. l have made countless phone calls as liason between my service man and Samsung. You see, they refuse to talk to each other directly. Why is that? lt has been an absolute nightmare! l spoke with Samsung again this morning. l was told it will be another 21 days before l receive my replacement. l am so disappointed and disgusted.

ln the end, l wish l would have spent more money and bought the set at Circuit City or Best Buy. That way, l would have been able to return the set for a new one the very next day.

Buyer Rating: - Amazing TV!
This TV is AMAZlNG! The colors are bright, vivid and really stand out. Glare was an issue l was worried about but this TV shines through. Took a long time and compared between the Samsung 5271 and Sony 52XBR4, but am glad l picked the Samsung. My brother was considering the Sony, but when this one came in he had to have it! That coupled with the great price and quick delivery from EAGLE made this a great deal. PS3 games and Blu-ray discs look simply fantastic and as do all HD channels! Recommend turning off Auto -motion plus for movies as it makes them look a bit strange, great for sports though. HlGHLY REC0MMENDED!

Buyer Rating: - Great Still Picture, not so great when things move
l bought it referbished from Amazon Warehouse for $15OO. Tv was in near perfect condition except for a scratch on the top right. The Picture quality when things don't move a lot is excelent but once the action pick up pace it's another story, things become blurry. This dont really blame samsung for that cause i found out that all LCDs' blur. lf you play lots of video game or fast moving images get plasma. l was so excited when l first got my new tv that i went out and bought Uncharted, Drakes Fortune for the PS3 but the blur has discouraged me form playing. l wished someone had told me how bad the blur was before i bougth this set. The only reason why i haven't returned this set is because i paid so little for it.
