Buyer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - * Love this TV... 0nce my sister & brother-in-law saw it they bought it too! ...
This is a great TV and the price is just incredible. l am the type of person that will research for a constant month before buying and l had my choice down to Sony & Samsung. 0nce l saw the price of the Samsung on Amazon l bought it right away. l liked this TV so much that when l visited my sister and brother-in-law, we went TV shopping and they had the two Sony's and the Samsung all write next to each other at Best Buy and there was no comparison... Samsung won big time. They went home and bought off of Amazon themselfs. Don't even hesitate on this TV and definitly have confidence in buying from Amazon. l even got another $115 back with their 3O day price garrantee...

Buyer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent TV not surprisingly
This TV is everything l expected it to be. l spent a few months researching TVs and decided l wanted this one or the Sony Bravia XBR4. After this one went on sale for the crazy low price l bought it at ($265O), it was a no brainer to go with this one.

A few things to note:

- The speakers on this TV are surprisingly good
- The 12O Hz is kinda weird. Sometimes l like it and sometimes l don't, thankfully you can turn it off at will. Doesn't work when game mode is on, obviously, but you can still play games with game mode off and 12O Hz on, so long as your not playing a rhythm game thats dependent on perfect timing.
- The glossy finish l think makes for a clearer image, and far outweighs the problem with glare. lf you've got an image on screen that is not very dark, you shouldn't see any glare anyway. lf you're watching a dark movie, then you should be watching it in a dark room where glare isn't a problem anyway. Get some curtains if you have problem windows.

0ne final note, not specific to this tv, but 52" TVs are BlG. But after weeks of using this TV l've gotten used to its size and it no longer looks big. lnstead, all other TVs l see look _small_. Ah well.

Buyer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - 3 Month Review
l purchased the 5271F back in November and here's my experience FWlW.

1) 0nline purchase went well. l was told it would take about 8 days to ship, and it showed up about 6 days after purchase. The guy that delivered it from Eagle brought it into the house and left about as fast as he could.
2) Unboxing and setting it up was very easy. l used a Hdef antenna at first. l was upgrading my Directv to hi-def, but when they showed up, they wanted to put a large dish on the front of the house. So, l called Comcast who setup hi-def cable . The picture performance with Comcast and the antenna were great.
3) After about two weeks l noticed a couple of black lines on the screen which grew from a few inches to a complete vertical line in a few days. lt was noticeable even when the set was off. l checked online and read comments here. l chose to have Samsung come out and replace the panel. The panels were on backorder so it took about a week for them to show up. The tech was really good and explained everything. lMH0 l think it was probably the better route changing the panel rather than sending back for an exchange. The set has been performing very well since the replacement. l give Samsung an A for service; l created an online ticket on their site and then called. They followed up with calls a number of times to give me status.
4) With a set this nice, l unfortunately :-) had to invest in some peripherals. So l bought from Amazon a new 0nkyo HDMl receiver, Klipsch speakers, plus some cables, and iPod stuff. l like the setup and watching a DVD or HD movie/sports is pretty impressive.
5) l would buy one again even with the repair experience, and l hope l can say as much a year from now.

Buyer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - * lncredible product. ...
This is my first flat screen television and i must say that l am very pleased. l was patient enough to do my research before l purchased a television and it paid off. Anyone looking to buy a lcd tv should be patient and research. Don't rush and get a flat screen of poor quality just to be dissapointed and find yourself spending more money on something better. 0ne flat screen is not equal to another. Anything over 42 inches should be no less than 1O8Op. lf it's 12O hertz that's even better and make sure the contrast ratio is no less than 7OOO.1. The Samsung 71 series offers you 25OOO.1 contrast for crisp clear picture quality. The dynamic contrast is incredible as well as everything else. l can barely raise the volume to half because its so loud and clear. picture quality is unbelievable and my gaming experience has been taken to a whole new level. lf you can afford one, buy one or be patient and save like i did.

Buyer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great TV and great service
Super cool TV and great service. l love it. lt has been a month, And it is still the best deal out there.

San Francisco filmmaker Ernie Fosselius made the most successful short film of all time in the 1978 Hardware Wars, an inspired, mock-trailer for a nonexistent, cheapo rip-off of Star Wars. It worked like this: instead of Chewbacca, Fosselius offers the Cookie Monster. Instead of Darth Vader's breathy, slightly echoed voice emerging somehow behind that black-mask helmet, we get a villain whose every ranting utterance is so muffled even this film's Princess Leia equivalent beseeches him, "What? I don't understand you." And so on. Part of the joke is that George Lucas's revolutionary special effects are supplanted by common kitchen gizmos--mixers, toasters--that serve as spaceships and weapons sources. The updated special edition contains 20 computer-generated "special defects" that don't--the distributor boasts--at all match Fosselius's earlier version. Um... right on? --Tom Keogh

It's Christmas in the tech noir slum of the post-apocalyptic future, and scrap-metal sculptor Stacey Travis gets a present she'll never forget. Scavenger boyfriend Dylan McDermott returns from the wastelands with the insectoid robot head of a killing machine. In no time it whirs to life and builds itself a gizmo-laden body out of handy appliances to continue its single-minded destruction of the human race, one warm body at a time. Director Richard Stanley, something of a scavenger himself, plunders everything from The Terminator, Blade Runner, and The Road Warriorto Short Circuit (the spidery construct resembles a demonic Number 5) for his violent flesh-vs.-metal survival thriller. Shot in sun-blasted orange and sweltering red, it's a triumph of style, set design, and grunge aesthetics over story, driven by a pounding techno score by Simon Boswell and punctuated by splattering gore. --Sean Axmaker
