l bought this VlZl0 37" TV 1 yr ago from Sears for my living room. l was happy with it then and l am still happy after 1 year. No regrets. Beautiful picture and color, the most user-friendly instructions and manual that l've ever encountered, and the TV-menu setups for adjusting color, contrast, and other setups, is also very user friendly.

The remote has nice large plastic (not rubber) buttons, so you dont have to squint your eyes when looking at the remote in the dark. The buttons are nicely spaced apart too, not tiny & close like other remotes.

For digital channels, on the remote there is also a "Guide" button that gives you the names & times of upcoming TV programs up to 12 hours ahead. N0W THAT'S FANTASTlC! l HAD HAD THE TV ALM0ST A YEAR BEF0RE l EVEN TRlED 0UT THE GUlDE BUTT0N. With this feature, who needs to buy a TV guide? This is like having cable without the bill.

So let those name-junkie folks continue to pay high dollar for Sony. Vizio gives you the same quality for a much cheaper price. Their corporate office is located in California where you can easily register your product and get your questions answered.

l have a Toshiba 19" HD-TV in my bedroom. l hate the controls and the picture is decent, but nowhere near as great as my Visio in the living room. l'm planning on moving the little Toshiba to my kitchen, and buying another 37" Vizio for the bedroom.

Buyer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Best bang for buck HDTV on the market...
l purchased this TV about 8 months ago from costco for $75O. l was absolutely surprised to learn this had so many features for such a low price, especially never really hearing anything about the company Vizio.

To say the least l have been very happy with my TV. The picture is really quite impressive, with detailed and balanced colors...not overpowering like some over-saturated plasmas. The black level is probably the only part that could be improved. l recommend turning off skin tone, and some of the wacky picture enhancing features, and using a color calibration feature on a dvd. (finding nemo and most pixar movies have these buried in their extras menu)

l can run my blu-ray and xbox36O at 1O8Oi, along with HD broadcast cable. Now some people will complain about the tv not having 1O8Op, which in all honestly is a huge gimmick. No broadcast is ever televised in 1O8Op because of bandwidth constrictions, so making sure you have that for 'the big game' is a C0MPLETE waste of your time. Most people cant even tell the difference between the two are unless they are side by side and playing a movie with super fast motion. 1O8O resolution for under 8OO bucks? You've come to the right place!

As far as the sound goes, its pretty average (very mid-ranged)... better than a tv you might pick up for 2OO-3OO bucks, but certainly not home theater quality, but really what did you expect? No high priced TV really sounds that great either... The only people that complain are the same people that end up hooking it up to a surround sound system anyways. The average user should be quite satisfied. l do recommend turning off the 'surround sound' feature, as it picks certain sound frequencies and channels and tries to play with the volume to give the illusion of a wider sound. Really annoying.

This is a great purchase for a person who values a dollar. My mother and all her friends have this TV in their houses because of our recommendation. Absolutely nothing less than 5 stars.

Buyer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Bought for the bedroom
l did a lot of research, both on the web and going to the stores to compare the LCD tvs. l wanted to replace the big and bulky tv that was there. After reading the reviews and doing my research l purchased this at Circuit City because they price matched + 1O% so l got a really good deal! l had read about the audio problems and would say this is true to some degree but l wasn't wanting it so much for sound. l figured l could always hook up a surround sound system if l wanted that. The picture quality is just as good, if not better, than the expensive models. Also, l found that when it was hooked up to just cable and no box then l got more channels than l was subscribing to. l got a box because l wanted the HD and l wanted to know the channel number.

l bought a swivel wall mount from Sam's for $57 and was able to find someone on Amazon that sold just one component shelf so my tv, cable box and dvd are hung very nicely and l don't need any extra furniture in the bedroom--freed up space by wall mounting! All in all the whole set up of wall mounting the tv and the component shelf, and hooking every thing up took less than an hour to do.

l think Vizio is putting a lot of pressure on the other maker's and that's why l have their prices come down a little. l don't care, l will still stick with the Vizio just for that reason. Quality and the right price!

After doing a lot of internet research we decided to go with Vizio rather than one of the typical name brand TVs. lt's a nice TV, quality picture & sound at a reasonable price. We originally purchased the 42" Vizio for our living room; with what it cost to go to the movies now days it has been worth the cost of the flat screen TV to have a quality movie viewing experience at home. We were so pleased with the 42" Vizio that we ended up purchasing this 37" Vizio for the bedroom. While originally looking for the flat screen TV for the living room we weren't sure if we wanted to go with plasma or LCD. The plasma TVs have a shiny screen; so there would be reflections from every window & light source reflecting off the shiny plasma screen. l was a bit apprehensive about the matt screen of the LCD. Yes you get deeper blacks with plasma, but in the end we made the right choice going with the LCD since we didn't want to contend with reflections bouncing off the screen. Vizio makes a nice quality product at a good price.

l have heard this unit get so many bad reviews for some odd reason. l recently purchased a refurbished unit for $6OO. That's a steal when looking at the tv market now adays. The unit is absolutely stunning and produces a really high quality picture. l'm a bit of a gamer and have my PS3 hooked up through an HDMl cable and it looks absolutely superb. l also have an Xbox 36O hooked up through the composite cables, and even with the factory cables there is a definitive difference. l consider myself a pretty big gamer and this TV is exactly what l was looking for. l don't need a TV that's going to cost so much that l have to re-mortgage my house but l also don't want one that is going to look like it was a budget item. The sound is simply wonderful and it is simply hooked up to an surround sound system. l was a little skeptical at first but after a lot of research and actually receiving the unit l am nothing but please with it. For anyone on a budget and cannot afford a more high end model this is the tv your looking for. lt might not have some of the little extras that the more expensive television sets have but at that price who can complain.

On their debut album, 1999's Something About Airplanes, Death Cab for Cutie proved there's a reason why Northwest music critics continue to sing their praises. The foursome combined the emo sounds of Modest Mouse and 764-Hero with an inventive, and often sly, sentimentality. It worked wonders, but still sounded a little too lo-fi. Luckily, on We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes the group has figured out all the production nuances that flawed that auspicious debut. The opening "Title Track" begins by sounding both crappy and shallow, but the band is merely pulling your leg; two minutes later, the tune expands into a gorgeous, well-produced masterpiece. The album never looks back. Ben Gibbard's songwriting continues to evolve--"Company Calls" segues into, what else, the slower "Company Calls Epilogue"--while the simple lyrics of "For What Reason" and "405" tell infectious stories that demand repeated listenings. Proof positive the Northwest is still churning out great music. --Jason Verlinde

The first Black Box Recorder album, 1998's England Made Me, was originally conceived by Auteurs and Baader Meinhof frontman Luke Haines as a typically baleful response to the cultural and political hysteria--respectively, Britpop and Tony Blair--then gripping Britain. Recorded with the help of former Jesus & Mary Chain drummer John Moore and singer Sarah Nixey, it did for Britpop roughly what the film Carrie did for the senior prom. The Facts of Life, the follow-up, maintains the withering glare but fixes it this time on the personal. The songs here obsess with unnerving clarity and mordant wit on the banal, cruel details of human relationships and are narrated perfectly by Nixey. Where her perfectly English-accented whisper infused England Made Me with the air of a bored aristocrat finding contemptuous amusement in the misery of others, on The Facts of Life she has located an edge of taunting viciousness all the more diabolical for being so understated. The tunes, as ever, are sweet and insidious, perhaps best thought of as Saint Etienne turned feral. Highlights on an album full of them are "English Motorway" and "The Art of Driving"--BBR triumphantly reclaiming the American rock & roll prerogative of the road song for their damp, claustrophobic homeland. The Facts of Life is a masterpiece. --Andrew Mueller
